As part of a programme to revitalise their image Herefordshire Housing commissioned Fresh Workspace to radically change the way they approached their workplace. By tearing down the barriers, Fresh Workspace opened up their offices to improve communications and create a more collaborative environment.  The creation of a central tea point and breakout area accessible to all staff ensured a focal point for everyone in the business including external stakeholders.

Specification of Works

Area: 8,500  sq ft

On Site: 8 weeks

Partitioning:
Full height 12mm glass and solid partitioning with sound insulation

Electrical:
New Electrak system and CAT6 network nodes throughout terminating in new 4 compartment floor boxes with 2 twin sockets, a TP&N distribution board

Flooring:
Interface carpet tiles and non-slip vinyl to tea point.

Plumbing:
Tea point

Lighting:
Relocation of existing light fittings to suit new layout with feature lighting to boardroom, training and breakout areas

Furniture:
Bench desking, training room furniture, mesh task chairs, tambour storage & storage wall, canteen furniture and a variety of soft seating options for the breakout space

Power & Data:
Extension of the existing Electrac system and the addition of CAT 6 infrastructure to include cable, modules, patch panels, CMB, matting, sleeving etc.

M&E:
Supplementary fresh air systems and additional cooling

Miscellaneous:
Digital wall paper, presentation equipment for training, boardroom and committee rooms, glass whiteboards
